Link, Bio, and Graphic

Size

Each commercial member receives space on our Links page for a link, a bio, and a graphic. The graphic should not exceed 350 pixels wide and should be approx. 200 pixels tall. (Think of a business card, which is 3.5 inches wide by 2.0 inches tall.) The text should not exceed 15 lines when rendered on SeaGlassAssociation.org, which uses a standard variable-width serif font, yielding approx. 50 characters per line. This number of lines includes the line(s) immediately below the graphic and any blank lines. However, the height of the graphic and the number of lines of text are governed according to this rule: for every 19 pixels of height that the graphic is less than 200 pixels, one additional line is allowed; likewise, for every 19 pixels of height that the graphic exceeds 200 pixels, the text length must be reduced by one line. Thus, a banner ad may have, for instance, up to 20 lines if the graphic is no more 105 pixels tall, or it may have a graphic 295 pixels tall so long as the text does not exceed 10 lines.
